Steps not showing in challenge leaderboard
If your steps are visible on the Activate home screen but not appearing in the challenge leaderboard, here are the most common reasons and fixes.
1. You joined the challenge after earning those steps
The challenge only counts steps from the moment you join. If you joined at midday, only the steps from midday onward will appear. Steps from earlier in the day (or earlier days) will show on your home screen but not in the challenge. This is by design and cannot be changed retroactively.
2. Your data hasn’t synced yet
Depending on your integration, data may take some time to sync. Steps usually appear within a few minutes, but in some cases it can take up to a few hours. Try opening your health app (Apple Health, Health Connect, Garmin Connect, etc.) and waiting a few minutes for Activate to update.
3. Your integration is disconnected
Go to Menu → Devices in the Activate app and check that your integration is connected. If it shows as disconnected, reconnect it.
4. Duplicate device data
If you have multiple devices or health apps sending step data (e.g., both a Garmin watch and Apple Health), there may be data conflicts. We recommend using only one integration at a time to avoid discrepancies.
Still not working?
Contact us via in-app chat and let us know which phone you’re using and which integration is connected. We’ll look into it.
